How the Book of Mormon Changes OUR Lives

We know that the Book of Mormon is the Word of God; it's 'Another Testament of Jesus Christ'.

Just as the Old and New Testaments are the Word of God for the people in those days and in those parts of the world (and still highly applicable to us in ours), the Book of Mormon is another witness of the Lord's dealings with His people - here in the America's.

It tells a story of a small group of people at the time of King Zedekiah in Jerusalem, who were guided to know that because of the wickedness of the people at that time (about 600 B.C.), that Jerusalem would be destroyed. The Lord commanded them to depart out of the land and later to sail to the America's where they would establish a new nation.

This book has changed our lives. We try to read, study and ponder from it's incredible teachings, every day. We have been promised that we will get closer to the Lord, Jesus Christ, by abiding by the precepts in this book - than by those in ANY other book.

This morning we pondered a verse together. It is one of our favorites with an invitation and a promise. We invite you all to read and ponder for yourselves and ask God, in the name of Christ, if this is not true. We promise that if you ask him with a sincere heart and with real intent, having faith in Christ, he WILL manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost. (See Moroni 10:4)

Omni 1:26
"And now, my beloved brethren, I would that ye should come unto Christ, who is the Holy One of Israel, and partake of his salvation, and the power of his redemption. Yea, come unto him, and offer your whole souls as an offering unto him, and continue in fasting and praying, and endure to the end; and as the Lord liveth ye will be saved."

Come Unto Christ; the Holy One of Israel and Be Perfected IN Him
